Regional Vice President, North Asia
Paul Man was appointed Regional Vice President, North Asia for APL Logistics in August 2014. Based in Hong Kong, he is responsible for the company’s business in mainland China, Hong Kong, Macau, Taiwan, Japan and Korea.
Prior to his current appointment, Paul has been in various management roles for APL Logistics across China, managing International Logistics, Contract Logistics and Managing Director of Central & North China before he returned to Hong Kong.
In 1989, he joined APL Liner in the IT department and later moved to the company’s project management team focusing on business process re-engineering and implementation. In 1996, he moved to APL’s logistics arm in China as its Business Development Manager, known as ACS Logistics (China) then.
Paul has over 20 years of industry experience in China and has worked and lived in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shanghai. He is highly regarded in the industry for having both local expertise and international operation professionalism. In 2001, he was named by China’s Federation of Logistics and Purchasing as the supply chain arena’s “Top Ten Elites of the Year in the Logistics Industry”.
Paul holds a Computer Science degree from the University of Western Ontario, Canada and processes a Diploma of Management Studies from Henley Management College of U.K.
