Process and Performance Quality
Comprehensive reporting, Lean and Six Sigma tools drive continuous improvement
Our approach to continuous quality improvement, both for our own internal processes and for our clients’ supply chains, is highly systematized. Lean and Six Sigma practices – ingrained in our culture – are employed throughout the process to drive performance improvement.
Our process quality programs begin with analysis and strategic evaluation, seeking opportunities for scalable and sustainable improvement. They include all the necessary change management and operational support. Our collaboration with leading brands has yielded US$27 million in annualized savings for customers over five years.
Key Performance Indicators (KPI) are used extensively to provide visibility of issues in the supply chain. Quantifiable measurements enable customers to prioritize those areas where the most significant improvements might be made.
Examples of typical KPIs we measure on behalf of customers include:
Outstanding PO report
Number of PO not booked
Order fill rate
On-time shipping / receiving
Actuals for factory load and cross-dock
Average Dwell Time (Days) for Consolidation Origins
Carrier split by volume, port-pair
Shipping Advice Timeliness
Actual against Service Level Agreement (SLA)
Timeliness of vendor submission
Internal Process Quality
We employ a number of monitoring and management tools to support our internal continuous quality improvement programs.
End-of-day monitoring includes a daily review of shipment process control points to ensure compliance with customers and local requirements.
Service quality KPI review country performances to look for improvement opportunities.
Key Account Monitoring is built very much around our deep understanding of specific customer requirements. Should KPI monitoring highlight concerns or potential problems, account teams, backed by country support and service integrity teams, are well-briefed to identify and implement solutions.
Throughout our customer and internal continuous quality improvement programs, our experts employ Lean and Six Sigma tools to achieve defined quality goals.
