Customer Advisory – COVID 19 Update: Europe Border Closures & Restrictions

In recent days many European countries have advised new border controls for road traffic which are primarily focused upon non-essential travelers and non-nationals. At this point there are no specific restrictions on the movement of commercial road freight (nor of the nationalities of involved drivers), though in many countries additional documentation may be required at the border, and some countries have introduced body temperature checking of drivers. Additionally some smaller border crossing points have been closed between many countries which may add to transit times.
There are already some delays reported arising from these additional controls, and we are in touch with customers individually where such delays might impact delivery schedules.
