April 22, 2020 in COVID-19 UPDATES CUSTOMER ADVISORY
COVID-19: APLL Regional Network Update (Greater Asia)
North Asia
There are no updates for North Asia.
Southeast Asia
- Myanmar: There are some news sources stating that the local government has announced for closure of factories effective April 20 through April 30 to facilitate COVID-19 related inspections by the various ministries. Currently we have identified only 1 customer factory which will be closed. We will continue to monitor the situation and work directly with any potentially impacted customer(s).
South Asia
- India: Following the partial ease of “lockdown” at state level, factories have resumed partial operations. Factories in the red/containment* zones will continue to be closed through May 3. With the restrictions being lifted off slowly, we see an improvement in the flow of cargo truck and container movements. APLL India ICD/ CFS have begun partial operations with a skeletal workforce due to limited availability of labor force nationwide. APLL team will continue to work closely with all customers to minimize operational impact.
