COVID-19: APLL Regional Network Update (Greater Asia)
There are no updates from North Asia today.
- Philippines: On May 12 the President announced that some high risk areas will remain under the current strict enhanced community quarantine beyond May 15 (when the measures are scheduled to gradually ease). Article here. Our current operations remain unchanged and we will continue to monitor the situation.
- Malaysia: The current movement control order has been extended through June 9. Article here. Our current operations remain unchanged.
- India: All domestic CLS sites are now operating with skeletal staff and will be scaling back up to full operations by end of June barring unforeseen circumstances.
Important note regarding return to office actions:
- APL Logistics cannot cite specific dates on return to office actions globally. We will continue to provide advance notice of changes to this arrangement.
- The safety and wellbeing of our employees is our top priority. We will consider each country/state’s local plans against what will be phased using new guidelines.
- Bottom line we will take a cautious approach globally.
