Cyclone Nivar – Chennai and Tuticorin, India

The Regional Meteorological Center at Chennai, India has issued a weather bulletin today on Cyclone Nivar, in the Bay of Bengal, which is likely to cross Tamil Nadu coast in the evening of November 25, 2020.
Heavy rainfall is expected in Chennai for the next two days. Port and terminal operations will be halted during the cyclone landing phase. Carrier yards and CFS will only have limited staff around to manage the safety measures.
Following safety precautions, there will not be any operations at APLL Chennai CFS over the next two days on November 25 and 26, 2020. APLL Chennai CFS is expected to resume normal operations on November 27, 2020.
