Customer Advisory: Cargo Delays in Hai Duong Province, Vietnam
February 19, 2021
All cargo originating from Hai Duong Province, Vietnam, is expected to be delayed or stuck in their delivery to the Haiphong port and CFS. Due to stricter COVID-19 measures by adjacent provinces, a CDC certificate/COVID-19 test is required for truck drivers, including a 14-day quarantine.
Local businesses have been appealing to authorities to loosen cross-province restrictions for essential workers, but this is still a pending and evolving matter. Customers who source cargo from Hai Duong Province will be impacted.
The city of Haiphong port is functioning normally, as are APLL Haiphong offices and CFS. There is no known impact for cargo originating from other provinces.
We continue to monitor the situation and will issue further updates as we learn more. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your APL Logistics Account Manager or local APL Logistics office.
