Customer Advisory: MAERSK EINDHOVEN – Encounters Harsh Weather – Reports Of Containers Overboard

Please be advised that on February 17, 2021, the Maersk Eindhoven was reported to have experienced an engine stop in harsh weather near Japan while en route from Xiamen, China, to Los Angeles, California. Preliminary reports from Maersk indicate that a number of containers have been lost overboard.
Maersk is currently assessing the nearest suitable port options in Asia to berth the vessel.
As we learn more about the disposition of APL Logistics’ NVOCC containers, we will issue further updates.
