Customer Advisory: Update 2 – EVER GIVEN Container Vessel Floated and Cleared from Suez Canal

Please allow this to follow up our March 26, 2021, Advisory. At the time of this publication, we can provide some good news as follows:
- Evergreen has reported that as of 15:04 local time on March 29 the Ever Given was successfully refloated and has been repositioned to the Great Bitter Lake for inspection of seaworthiness;
- With the Suez Canal expected to be open for passage, carriers are assessing arrival impacts for vessels in the area, as well as recalculating whether some vessels that were re-routed around the Cape of Good Hope should turn around and continue on their original route;
- Vessels in the area can be tracked via VesselFinder*
As always, we continue to track ETA’s for APL Logistics’ NVOCC shipments and will communicate directly with customers regarding any potential impacts.
