Customer Advisory: Dockworkers Strike at the Port of Montreal

You are receiving this advisory because you may have cargo or have cargo scheduled to arrive at the Port of Montreal.
Please be advised that on April 26, 2021, the Port of Montreal announced that a general strike by CUPE Local 375 dockworkers has resulted in a complete shutdown of cargo handling and docking services normally provided at Port of Montreal terminals. The strike began on Monday morning and continues today. Canadian legislators are meeting today to discuss emergency actions to end the strike.
The following services and terminals are impacted:
- Cast
- Maisonneuve
- Racine
- Viau
- Logistec terminal in Montreal and Contrecoeur (dry bulk)
- CanEst
- Lantic Sugar
