Customer Advisory: Severe Flooding Impacts Operations in the Pacific Northwest
November 18, 2021
As reported in media outlets, northwestern Washington State (U.S.) and British Columbia (Canada) have experienced heavy rain over the last several days, causing landslides and flooded highways.
The inclement weather has resulted in severe delays and service disruptions across the supply chain network. The Vancouver gateway is experiencing significant rail and trucking disruptions, with highway routes leading to Metro Vancouver closed. Railways are currently assessing damage and conducting repairs. The CN and CP rail corridors running between Vancouver and Kamloops are not currently operational. However, the Port of Vancouver terminals are still operating.
