Customer Advisory: Port of Oakland Terminals Re-Open After Union Walk-Out

Several terminals at the Port of Oakland were temporarily closed on Wednesday, November 2nd, during the first shift, following a walk-out by the ILWU* over a contract dispute. The terminals eventually re-opened for the night shift. *International Longshore and Warehouse Union
The Port of Oakland Terminals are open today, Thursday, November 3rd, and operations have resumed as normal. Some carriers are waiving demurrage and detention fees for containers impacted by the Wednesday closure.
