Customer Advisory: Update: Container Movement Suspended by Transport Workers
February 10, 2025
The container trailer and prime mover worker/driver association has ended its three-day strike at the Chittagong Port, Bangladesh. Container movement has resumed, and the traffic situation is gradually returning to normal. However, the strike created a backlog. Depots are now prioritizing the dispatch of export containers to the port and the procurement of empties. While container movement to and from the port has resumed, some delays are expected due to the backlog. Truck movement and factory cargo shipments to CFS remain unaffected. Laden container dispatch is the top priority, and the CFS team is expediting the process where possible.
